***[HANDLING OF FLOPPY DISKS]***
Observe the following points when handling the provided floppy disks:
* Never touch the magnetic surface of the floppy disks.
* Keep magnets and magnetic objects away from the floppy disks.
* Do not bend the floppy disks.
* Do not place the floppy disks in dusty, wet, humid, dry, hot, nor cold
areas.
* Always insert the floppy disks back into the plastic cases after use.
1 INTRODUCTION
================
KPG-49D software is a tool for programming TK-780/880/280/380 transceivers.
Using this software, first enter programming data into the appropriate
computer, then transfer the data to a transceiver. You can print out that
data from a printer. You can also retrieve data from a transceiver to edit
on the computer.

Your programming software package includes the followings:
* 2 floppy disks (3.5", 1.44 MB)
KPG-49D PROGRAMMING DISK (program files)

***[APPLICABLE TRANSCEIVERS]***
This programming software supports the following transceivers:
TK-780 (Mobile;VHF)
TK-880 (Mobile;UHF)
TK-280 (Portable;VHF)
TK-380 (Portable;UHF)
***[HARDWARE/ SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS]***
< Computer >
The software was designed for use on IBM PC, AT, PS/2 and compatible
computers with Conventional Memory capacity of at least 450 kB.
< Operating system (OS) >
The operating system must be IBM DOS Version 3.1 (or later) or equivalent.
< Communication port >
The computer must have a serial communication port to connect with a
transceiver. This port must be compatible with an IBM asynchronous
communications adapter. You may use the COM1 or COM2 port on the computer.
< Connection cable >
Use a KPG-36 (for portable) or a KPG-46 (for mobile) cable to connect
the computer with the transceiver.
2 CONNECTING THE EQUIPMENT
=============================
1. Switch OFF the power to the computer.
2. Connect the 25-pin connector on the KPG-36/46 cable to the COM1 or COM2
port on the computer. If the COM port has 9 pins, use a commercially
available 9-pin/25-pin adapter.
3. Switch ON the power to the computer.
4. Switch OFF the power to the transceiver.
5. Connect the other end of the KPG-36/46 cable to the universal connector
on the transceiver.
6. Switch ON the power to the transceiver.
3 INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE
=============================
After completing all physical connections, you are ready to install the
programming software.
The KPG-49D software requires a destination drive with 1300kB free space.
***[INSTALLING ON A HARD DISK]***
This procedure assumes the hard disk is drive C.
1. Insert the "KPG-49D PROGRAMMING DISK" (source disk) into drive A.
2. Type "A:" then press [Enter].
"A:\>" appears on the computer display.
3. Type "INSTALL C:" then press [Enter].
The installation program copies the necessary files from the source disk
in drive A to the hard disk.

This procedure assumes the source drive is A, and the destination drive is
B.
1. Insert the "KPG-49D PROGRAMMING DISK" (source disk) into drive A.
2. Insert a floppy disk (destination disk), that will receive the software,
into drive B.
3. Type "A:" then press [Enter].
"A:\>" appears on the computer display.
4. Type "INSTALL B:" then press [Enter].
The installation program copies the necessary files from the source
disk in drive A to the destination disk in drive B.

***[PROGRAMMING METHODOLOGY]***
This section shows the logical process of three typical programming
operations.
Note: When data is transferred from the computer to the transceiver
(Program Write) or vice versa (Program Read), the transceiver
will automatically enter PC mode. "PROGRAM" appears on the display.
**[CREATING AND WRITING NEW DATA TO A TRANSCEIVER]**
1. Specify the transceiver model. (Model)
2. Input data. (Edit)
3. Write the data to the transceiver. (Program/Write to radio)
4. Save the data to a disk. (File/save As)
**[MODIFYING DATA PREVIOUSLY WRITTEN TO A TRANSCEIVER]**
1. Read the desired data from the transceiver. (Program/Read from radio)
2. Modify the data. (Edit)
3. Write the data to the transceiver. (Program/Write to radio)
4. Save the data to a disk. (File/save As)

5 BASIC OPERATIONS
====================
***[STARTING THE PROGRAM]***
After correctly installing the software, you can now start the program and
learn the methods for programming TK-780/880/280/380 transceivers.
1. Make the directory containing the installed programming software the
current directory.
If you installed the software on a floppy disk, first insert the floppy
disk into a drive, then make that drive the current drive.
2. Type "KPG49D" then press [Enter].
The program starts and the Introductory screen appears. If an error
occurs, try reinstalling the program (see "3 INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE").
***[EXITING THE PROGRAM]***
When you finished programming, close the program correctly rather than
simply turning off the computer.
1. Press [Alt] to activate the Menu bar.
2. Press the right- or left-arrow key to open the File menu.
Move the cursor to "eXit" using the up- or down-arrow key, then press
[Enter], or simply press the Quick key; the capitalized letter in this
case "X". Pressing [F3] also opens this window.
4. Select [Ok] using [SPACE BAR], or the right- or left-arrow key, then
press [Enter]. Alternatively, press the Quick key "O" if you prefer.
The program closes and the DOS prompt appears.
5. If running the program from a floppy disk, remove the disk from its
drive.
6. Switch OFF the power to the computer.
7. Switch OFF the power to the transceiver.
***[INITIAL SCREEN]***
After starting the program, pressing any key clears the Introductory screen
and opens the Initial screen.
The Initial screen consists of the following three sections:
* Menu bar (top)
* Channel Information window (center)
* Key summary (bottom)
< Menu bar >
The Menu bar contains the titles of available menus. The menus are used to
open windows to edit and/or process data, and to execute commands.
< Channel Information window >
The Channel Information window shows various Channel data currently set.
< Key summary >
The Key summary lists currently available keys.
***[SELECTING AND ENTERING DATA]***
You will select or enter data either while an interactive window is visible
(prompted input) or while no interactive window is visible (non-prompted
input).
**[PROMPTED INPUT]**
While using File, Model, Program, Setup, or some Edit menu functions,
various interactive windows open to prompt you to select or enter
appropriate data. Use one of the following methods:
< Arrow keys >
Use the right-, left-, up-, or down-arrow key to select the appropriate
item, then press [Enter].
< Quick keys >
Enter the capitalized letter to select the appropriate item. For example,
press "O" to select "[Ok]". If you are using a color display, capitalized
letters appear in a different color from other characters.
< Keyboard >
Enter the appropriate data using the keyboard, then press [Enter].
**[NON-PROMPTED INPUT]**
When using some Edit menu functions, use one of the following methods to
select data.
< [SPACE BAR]/ [Shift]+ [SPACE BAR] >
Press to cycle through available choices at the current cursor position.
Pressing [SPACE BAR] changes selections in one direction; pressing [SHIFT]+
[SPACE BAR] changes selections in the opposite direction.
< [F2]/ [Shift]+ [F2] >
Press to cycle through available choices at the current cursor position.
Pressing [F2] changes selections in one direction; pressing [Shift]+ [F2]
changes selections in the opposite direction. In the Key assignment
window, pressing [F2] opens a list of programmable key functions.
6 USING THE MENU
==================
***[MENU OVERVIEW]***
The Menu bar is at the top of the Initial screen, above the Channel
Information window. There are six menu titles on the Menu bar. To
activate the Menu bar, press [Alt]. Use the right- or left-arrow key to
select the desired menu title. Press [Alt] or [Esc] to deactivate the Menu
bar.
< File >
The File menu allows you to create, save, open, delete, and print data
files, and to quit the program.
< Model >
The Model menu is used to specify the model of the transceiver to be
programmed.
< Edit >
The Edit menu allows you to assign various functions to the desired keys on
the transceiver, and to configure transceiver functions that are not
programmed from the Channel Information window.
< Program >
The Program menu allows you to read data from and write data to flash
memory or EEPROM in the transceiver. This menu also allows
you to access the Test mode or Firmware program.
< Setup >
The Setup menu allows you to select a communication port on the computer to
connect with the transceiver via the KPG-36/46 cable. Other configurable
items include the color scheme for the screen as well as the drive and path
name for access to the Help file.
< F1=Help >
The Help menu offers general and keyboard help.
***[MENU DETAILS]***
This section describes the menu items selectable under the menu titles and
shows how to operate these menu items. Use the Up- or Down-arrow key to
select the desired menu item, then press [Enter], or simply use a quick key.
For the methods of selecting or entering data for each menu item, see "***
[SELECTING AND ENTERING DATA]***" in chapter 5.
**[FILE]**
< New >
This function clears all data currently shown in the channel information
window and restores the defaults.
1. Select "New" then press [Enter], or simply press [N]. A warning message
appears.
2. Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel]". Then press [Enter], or simply press
[O] or [C].
< Load >
The Load function reads a data file saved on a hard disk or floppy disk,
then writes the file into the buffer memory of your computer. You may change
the loaded file, write it to the transceiver, or print it out.
1. Select "Load" then press [Enter], or simply press [L]. The "Drive & Path"
window opens, and displays the currently selected drive and path name.
2. Type the drive and path name of the desired file, then press [Enter]. The
"Directory" window opens and displays the name(s) of the file(s) on that
path. Data files have "DAT" extensions.
If the entered drive does not contain a disk, an error message appears.
Press any key, insert the correct disk in the specified drive, then press
[Enter].
If the entered drive or path does not exist, an error message appears.
Press any key, correct the drive or path name, then press [Enter].
If no file is found under the drive and path name, an error message appears.
Press any key, correct the drive and path names, then press [Enter].
3. Select the desired file name, then press [Enter]. The "Load file name"
window opens.
4. Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel]" then press [Enter], or simply press
[O] or [C].
< Save (=F4) >
The Save function saves the created or revised file to the drive, path, and
file names previously selected (or default).
1. Select "Save (=F4)" then press [Enter], or simply press [S] or [F4]. If
the same file name exists under the current path, a warning message
appears. If the same file name does not exist under the current path,
the "Save file name" window opens.
2. Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel]" then press [Enter], or simply press
[O] or [C].
< save As >
The save As function saves the current file to the drive, path, and file
names that you specify.
1. Select "save As" then press [Enter], or simply press [A]. The "Drive &
Path" window opens and displays the currently selected drive and path
names.
2. Type the desired drive and path names, then press [Enter]. The "Save
file name" window opens.
If the entered drive does not contain a disk, an error message appears.
Press any key, insert the correct disk in the specified drive, then press
[Enter].
If the entered drive or path does not exist, an error message appears.
Press any key, correct the entered drive or path name, then press [Enter].
3. Type the desired file name, then press [Enter]. If the same file name
exits under the specified path, a warning message appears. If the same
file name does not exit under the specified path, the "Save file
name" window opens.
If you prefer, press [F9] to open the "Directory" window. Select the
desired file name, then press [Enter] twice.
4. Select "[OK]" or "[Cancel]" then press [Enter], or simply press

< Delete >
The Delete function allows you to delete unnecessary files from the desired
disk thereby freeing up disk space.
1. Select "Delete" then press [Enter], or simply press [D]. The "Drive &
Path" window opens and shows the currently selected drive and path name.
2. Type the desired drive and path name, then press [Enter]. The
"Directory" window opens.
If the entered drive does not contain a disk, an error message appears.
Press any key, insert the correct disk in the specified drive, then press
[Enter].
If the entered drive or path does not exist, an error message appears.
Press any key, correct the drive or path name, then press [Enter].
If no file exists under the drive and path names, an error message appears.
Press any key, correct the drive and path names, then press [Enter].
3. Select a file name using the up- or down-arrow key, then press [Enter].
The "Delete file name" window opens.
4. Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel]" then press [Enter], or simply press
[O] or [C]. After erasing the last file in the current directory, the
Channel Information window opens; otherwise the "Directory" window opens
again.
5. Repeat step 3 and 4 to delete all unnecessary files.
< Print (=F5) >
The Print function directs data to the printer. The data may have been
created, loaded from a disk, or read from the transceiver. The information
that you can print includes the followings:
* File name
* Model name
* Optional features
* Key assignment
* Scan information
* DTMF
* 2-Tone
* Test Frequency
* Embedded message
* Group information
1. Select "Print (=F5)" then press [Enter], or simply press [P]. The "Print
out list" window opens.
2. Press the up- or down-arrow key to highlight or highliting the setting
to be changed.
3. Press [SPACE BAR] or [F2] to select "[Yes]" for printing or "No" for
canceling the print operation.
4. At the bottom of the print out list window, type the desired start group,
then press [Enter]. Type the desired end group, then press [Enter].
5. Press [F5] to open the "Edit data print out" window.
6. Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel]". If the printer is not ready, an error
message will appear. Check the printer, then select
"[Ok]" or "[Cancel]".
< Go to dos >
The "Go to dos" function allows you to temporarily exit the program and go
back to the DOS prompt.
1. Select "Go to dos" then press [Enter], or simply press [G].The "Type
EXIT to return to FPU" message and the DOS prompt appear.
2. To restore the previous screen, type "exit" then press [Enter].
Note: The KPG-49D software can support this command only when your computer
has sufficient memory.
< eXit (=F3) >
The exit function quits the program completely and restores the DOS prompt.
1. Select "eXit (=F3)" then press [Enter], or simply press [X]. The "Return
to DOS!" window opens.
2. Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel]" then press [Enter], or simply press
[O] or [C].
**[MODEL]**
The Model menu is used to specify the model of the transceiver to be
programmed.
[TK-780]
Frequency range
1: 146 - 174MHz
2: 136 - 162MHz
This VHF transceiver can be programmed with up to 250 channels in various
combinations of 250 groups.
As an example;
1 group with 250 channels
2 groups with 125 channels
250 groups with 1 channel
1. Select "TK-780" using the up- or down- arrow key, then press
[Enter]. The "VHF" window opens.
2. Select desired function. The "Option Board" window opens.
3. If an option board (Voice Scrambler or ANI board) has been installed,
select desired function ; otherwise select "None". The "Radio Format"
window appears.
4. FleetSync enhanced option is not available as standard. It enables GPS,
Short Messaging, etc..
Select "[Yes]" or "[No]", or simply press [Y] or [N].
5. Select "Conventional" or "Trunking". A confirmation window appears.
6. Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel] then press [Enter], or simply press
[O] or [C].

**[EDIT]**
When you select the desired menu item under "Edit", the corresponding
window opens and allows you to change the settings for each function. Press
[SPACE BAR], [Shift]+ [SPACE BAR], [F2], or [Shift]+ [F2] to change the
settings. For functions such as Channel Text Size (Optional features), you
also can directly enter numeric values via the keyboard. Pressing [Alt]
completes settings and restores the Edit menu; pressing [Esc] completes
settings and restores the Channel Information window.
< Optional features >
Allows configuration of optional features on the transceiver.
1. When "Optional features" is selected, the "Optional Features" window
opens.
2. Select the desired item. For details on the selected item, press [F1]
to access the Help window.
3. Change the setting.
4. Press [Alt] or [Esc] to complete the setting.
< Key assignment >
Key assignment programs the keys or controls on the transceiver.
1. When "Key assignment" is selected, the "Key Assignment" window opens.
2. Select the desired key. Press [F2] to access the Key List window. For
details on the selected item, press [F1] to access the Help window on
the Key List window.
3. Change the setting.
4. Press [Alt] or [Esc] to complete the setting.
< Scan information >
Allows configuration of functions relating to scan.
1. When "Scan information" is selected, the "Scan Information" window opens.
2. Select the desired function.
3. Change the setting.
4. Press [Alt] or [Esc] to complete the setting.
< Dtmf >
Dtmf allows you to configure the DTMF functions.
1. When "Dtmf" is selected, the "DTMF" window opens.
2. Select the desired parameter.
3. Change the setting.
4. Press [Alt] or [Esc] to complete the setting.
< 2-tone >
2-tone allows you to configure the 2-Tone functions.
1. When "2-tone" is selected, the "2-TONE" window opens.
2. Select the desired parameter.
3. Change the setting.
4. Press [Alt] or [Esc] to complete the setting.
< Test frequency >
In the Test Mode and Tuning Mode, the transceiver receives and transmits on
Test frequencies.
1. When "Test frequency" is selected, the "Test Frequency" window opens.
2. Select the desired frequency number.
3. Enter the RX/TX Frequency.
4. Press [Alt] or [Esc] to complete the setting.
< Embedded message >
This function allows you to type up to a 64 alphanumeric character message
into the transceiver. This can be used for an electric serial number,
program file name notation, property ID., etc.. The entered message is
visible while running the KPG-49D software and prints out on paper.
1. When "Embedded message" is selected, the "Embedded Message" window opens.
2. Enter up to 32 alphanumeric characters, then press [Enter]. The cursor
moves to the lower column.
3. Enter up to 32 alphanumeric characters.
4. Press [Alt] or [Esc].
**[PROGRAM]**
< Read from radio >
This function reads all program data from the transceiver's flash memory.
1. When "Read from radio" is selected, the "Read from radio" window opens.
2. Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel]".
If the transceiver has been programmed with a Data Password, the "Input
Password" window opens. Enter the correct password.
Note 1: If you enter an incorrect password, an error message appears.
Press any key to enter the password again.
Note 2: If communication with the transceiver is not possible for any
reason, the "Check Connection Error" window opens. Confirm that
the transceiver is correctly connected to the computer via a
KPG-36/46 cable, then select "[Retry]".
< Write to radio >
This function writes data into the transceiver's flash memory.
1. When "Write to radio" is selected, the "Write to radio" window opens.
2. Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel]". "[Ok]" writes data into the transceiver.
"[Cancel]" aborts the write function and re-displays the Program menu.
If "Optional features/Data Password" is set, a warning message opens.
Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel]".
Note 1: Password protection prevents unauthorized reading of the
transceiver program data. To read a password protected transceiver
you must first enter the correct password.
(See Optional Features - Data password for details)
Note 2: If communication with the transceiver is not possible for any
reason, the "Check Connection Error" window opens. Confirm that
the transceiver is correctly connected to the computer via a
KPG-36/46 cable, then select "[Retry]".
< Dtmf read >
This function reads data from the DTMF memory of the transceiver.
1. When selecting "Dtmf read", the "Read DTMF Memory From the Radio" window
opens.
2. Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel]".
Note 1: If communication with the transceiver is not possible for any
reason, the "Check Connection Error" window opens. Confirm that
the transceiver is correctly connected to the computer via a
KPG-36/46 cable, then select "[Retry]".
Note 2: This function reads only DTMF memory data.
< Dtmf write >
This function writes the selected DTMF data to the DTMF memory of the
transceiver.
1. When selecting "Dtmf write", the "Write DTMF Memory To the Radio" window
opens.
2. Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel]".
Note 1: If communication with the transceiver is not possible for any
reason, the "Check Connection Error" window opens. Confirm that
the transceiver is correctly connected to the computer via a
KPG-36/46 cable, then select "[Retry]".
Note 2: This function only writes DTMF memory data.
< Test Mode >
This function allows you to test various aspects of the transceiver.
CAUTION: ALWAYS CONNECT A 50 OHM DUMMY LOAD PRIOR TO TRANSMITTING.
BEFORE ENTERING THE TEST MODE, YOU MUST EXECUTE READ FROM
RADIO OR WRITE TO RADIO.
1. When "Test mode" is selected, the "Test Mode Channel & Signalling"
window opens.
2. Select the desired channel number.
3. Enter an appropriate signalling number 1 to 9.
4. Move the cursor to "Wide/Narrow" using the right- or left-arrow key,
and switch "Wide" and "Narrow" using the up- or down-arrow key, then
press [Enter].
5. Press [SPACE BAR] or [F2] to toggle between transmit and receive.
6. Press [Alt] or [Esc].
Note 1: If communication with the transceiver is not possible for any
reason, the "Check Connection Error" window opens. Confirm that
the transceiver is correctly connected to the computer via a
KPG-36/46 cable, then select "[Retry]".
< Tuning Mode >
To access "Tuning mode" under "Test mode", use the following steps:
1. While the "Test Mode Channel & Signalling" window is visible, select the
desired settings.
2. Press [F10] to open the "Tuning Mode" window.
3. Select the desired item, then press [Enter]. The corresponding window
opens. For the descriptions of this window, access the window and use
the [F1] key.
< firmware Program >
This function writes the firmware to the transceiver.
When you select this function, Firmware Programming Software (FPRO.EXE)
is activated.
When you activate the Firmware Programming, the startup screen appears
first. Press any key to progress to the Firmware Programming Main screen.
In the Main screen, select the baud rate (bps) and the Firmware File
(HEX File). Press [F10], the software starts writing the main program into
the transceiver flash memory.
Use this function for upgrading the transceiver.
(See the service Manual for details)
Note 1: If the computer does not have sufficient memory, exit KPG-49D
and execute FPRO.EXE only.
Note 2: When programming the firmware, it is recommended to copy the data
from the floppy disk to your hard disk, before updating the radio
firmware. Directly copying from the floppy disk to the radio may
not work because the access speed is slow.
**[SETUP]**
< Communication port >
Select either COM1 or COM2 as the port for communicating with the
transceiver. If the computer has only one communication port, the port is
automatically set to COM1.
1. When "Communication port" is selected, the "Communication Port" window
opens.
If there is only a COM1 port on your computer, a window opens to report
this fact. In this case, the communication port cannot be changed.
2. Select either "[COM1]" or "[COM2]".
3. Press [Esc] to complete the setting and restore the System Information
window.
< Display color >
Display color allows you to select the Color mode or Black & White mode.
Color mode permits changing colors of the Menu bar, windows, messages, etc.
Select either mode depending on the computer display.
1. When "Display color" is selected, the "Display Color Mode" window opens.
2. Select either "[Color]" or "[Black & White]".
If "[Color]" is selected, the "Setup Display Color" window opens and
you can proceed to the following steps:
3. Select the item that you wish to configure.
4. Select the desired color. If you want to reset all colors to their
initial settings, press [F10].
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to select colors for the remaining items.
6. Press [Esc] to complete the setting and restore the Channel Information
window.
< Help path >
Use Help path to select the drive and path name of the Help files. The Help
files are called KPG49D_*.HLP and are automatically loaded in the same
folder as the program file upon using the install command for installation.
1. When "Help path" is selected, the "Drive & Path" window opens.
2. Type the drive and path name, then press [Enter]. The window closes and
the Channel Information window opens.
If the entered drive does not contain a disk, an error message appears.
Press any key, insert the correct disk in the specified drive, then press
[Enter].
If the entered drive or path does not exist, an error message appears.
Press any key, correct the entered drive or path name, then press [Enter].
If the Help file is not found under the selected drive and path name, an
error message appears. Press any key, correct the drive and path names,
then press [Enter].
Note: The Help file can be moved to the directory of your choice.
< Fpro path >
Use "Fpro path" to select the drive and path name of the
Firmware program named "FPRO.EXE". If an incorrect drive or
path name is entered, the program will not correctly initiate.
1. When "Fpro path" is selected, the "Drive & Path" window opens.
2. Type the drive and path name, then press [Enter]. The window
closes and the Channel Information window opens.
Note 1: If the entered drive does not contain a disk, an error message
appears. Press any key, insert the correct disk in the specified
drive, then press [Enter].
Note 2: If the entered drive or path does not exist, an error message
appears. Press any key, correct the entered drive or path name,
then press [Enter].
Note 3: If the "FPRO.EXE" program is not found under the selected drive and
path name, an error message appears. Press any key, correct the
drive and path names, then press [Enter].
**[F1=HELP]**

For an explanation of the item at which the cursor is currently positioned,
press [F1]. The corresponding window opens and explains the details.
Pressing [F1] again opens a window that lists the menu items of the current
menu title. Pressing [F1] one more time opens a window that lists the menu
titles.
The keys available while accessing help windows are listed at the bottom of
the screen (Key summary section). To close the window, press [Alt] or
[Esc].

This help describes the functions of the keyboard keys.
[Esc]: Restores the Channel Information window.
[Alt]: Opens and closes the menu, or restores the previous screen.
[Tab]: While in Test Mode, switches the frequency when 3-Point or 5-Point
adjustment item is activated, or switches TX frequency and RX
frequency when Voltage Change Freq. adjustment mode is activated.
[Home]: Jumps to the first channel of the Channel Information window or the
first page of a help window.
[PgUp] & [PgDn]: Scrolls the General Help window, Keyboard Help window, a
Channel Information window, or a file directory window
one page at a time.
[End]: Jumps to the last channel of the Channel Information window or the
last page of a help window.
[Enter]: Sets the entered data.
Arrow keys: Moves the cursor to the desired item, or scrolls help windows.
[SPACE BAR]: Changes the setting at the current cursor position. TX,RX
toggle while in Test and Tuning mode
[Shift]+[SPACE BAR]: Changes the setting in the opposite direction at the
current cursor position.
[Ctrl]+[R]: Opens the "Read from radio" window.

TX,RX toggle while in Test and Tuning mode.
In the Key assignment window, press to open a list of key functions.

Decode highlighted, press to open a list of available QT/DQT settings.

[F7]: In the Channel Information, Channel Edit window or Group features

[F9]: In the "save As/Save file name" window, press to open the "Directory"

Resets the display color settings (Setup menu) to the defaults.

[Shift]+[F2]: Changes the setting in the opposite direction at the current
