My Radio
Equipment

Here is what I currently own as of December, 2020

MOTOROLA CDM1250 (x3)

I have three of these. One I use as a base, one as a backup radio, and the third is mounted in a go box. LOW: 20 watts HIGH:40 watts , operates on 403-470Mhz. It supports 64 channels. This is a Comercial/Military Grade Radio, that meets military stabdards for pressure, temperature shock, solar radiation, rain, humidity, salt fog, dust, vibration, and shock. I've found that commercial grade radios work much better than anything out there.

Anysecu T320 HANDHELD NETWORK RADIO

This is an Android based handheld "Network Radio", that uses Cell Phone Service or WiFi, to connect to PTT ("Push-To-Talk") network applications, such as Zello, Team Speak, Echolink, PTT4U, Real-PTT, NRI, and many many others. These network applications are used to communicate between other network PTT network applications, installed on other Network Radios, Cell Phones, Computers, and many other Internet enabled devices, This Network Radio was made for World-Wide 2-way communication. The PTT network applications are commonly interfaced with Ham Radio, GMRS Radio, or other 'Radio Frequency' devices, to remotely operate 2-way radio equipment, or to connect radios, or radio repeaters to each other, for combined long distant communications. If you look at my Zello Network information on this site, you can see our GMRS network that is using the PPT network application Zello. Since this Network Radio is Android based, it's basically a Cell Phone that was designed with a Push-To-Talk button, a better speaker and mic, a longer lasting battery, GPS, and network services, to make it "PTT Application" friendly. This Network Radio is manufactured under several different model numbers (G25, F25, RT-4, T320, etc.) by several different companies (Anysecu, Sure, Radio-Tone, Inrico, Alps, etc.). All of these models are basically the same, with slight differences, most of which are cosmetic.

This model is very popular because of it's larger screen. Mine has a DTMF microphone, a GPS, an Cigar Lighter plug, an AC Adapter Plug, and a Hardwire plug for the car. The display can also rotate to accommodate different mounting angles.

BAOFENG UV21R UHF/VHF HANDHELD RADIO(x2)

Operates on dual bands VHF: 136-174MHz, and UHF 400-520Mhz. These walkies support 128 channels. They are both programmed the same with the GMRS frequencies, NOAA Weather Frequencies (listen only), and Local Highway Patrol (listen only). These radios are new and I plan to share them with family on trips, or whenever I'm somewhere that communication is needed. These are GREAT radios and they can be purchased for for less than $35 each. This radio made out of China. It is loaded with features, including the FM Broadcast Radio for emergencies, a flashlight, emergency alarm with alarm call. This is a good handheld that I like to carry and that I recommend. These are very inexpensive. Everyone should have an emergency radio like this.

US NAVY DEPARTMENT, SEMI PORTABLE,
HIGH FREQUENCY RADIO CCT-46077 RBM-3

THis radio is not GMRS, but it is worth showing. This unit was one of several components that made up a semi portable radio system for the Navy. This is the Short Wave receiver part of the components that covers 2 megacycles to 20 megacycles. It runs on vacuum tubes and can operate on High voltage 120-225 Volts DC and Low voltage at 12 Volts DC. I have the matching 120v power supply for it, and it all works great. It's in much better shape than any I have ever seen on-line. 9 3/4" x 12 7/16" x 17 1/16", the radio and power supply together weighs in at 61 pounds. This radio receiver was manufactured in the mid 1940s by Westinghouse.

I will sell this, if anyone interested in it. It's a collectable.

I'm sure that some of these radios will fade away and new radios will come. We'll see.
